Moving out...

Well it’s been another big week! Huge in fact. Our DTS has been watching video lectures from David Batestone, the co-founder and president of the Not For Sale campaign. He is an incredible guy and has a true heart to see God’s justice prevail.

I encourage you guys to read his book ‘Not For Sale’ as it gives you a picture of human trafficking and slavery within today’s world. It will shock you, possibly make you cry, open your eyes and hopefully inspire hope within and show you that you can be apart of change.

We are getting ready to go camping today! It will be two weeks of no internet or phone reception which will allow for us to get to know each other better and spend some quality time with God. (Don’t expect to hear from me!) We will still be doing lectures, just in an outdoor setting.

Please pray for us and that our focus will be on God and what He has for us.

I’ll talk to you guys in two weeks! Feel free to write to me and I’ll post you something when I get back J

Relationships are vital

God is good. So good actually! He has completely renewed my spirit and joy and I have LOVED this past week. I was really encouraged when a Faith Dutton (YWAM Hawaii) came to speak to us this week on ‘Relationships’. Although she focused primarily on boy/girl relationships, the lessons learnt can be applied for all our relationships.

It was so healthy to think about and reevaluate the boundaries that we have in place or need to set. There is real freedom that comes from knowing them and living within them! Also, as we explored how to keep our relationships centred, we looked at asking ‘Is this relationship bringing me closer to God?’ This is such an amazing place to be able to freely talk to boys and girls about all these things and really work out how we can be living godly lives.

We have one more week here at the base before we head off to the bush for two weeks of camping and lectures outside. It will be a time away from distractions (facebook/skype/etc) to get to know each other better, enjoy the Australian wilderness and hang out with God.

I am so incredibly excited about our Australian outreach that we will be beginning in just a few weeks (after camping). The last week will incorporate us going to Easterfest in Toowoomba, which will be an absolute blast!! (It will also be a really cool chance to catch up with some Teen Missions friends hopefully!)

We have already had a few “I don’t ever want to leave” and “What’s it going to be like at home without you all” chats because we have already formed such deep and close friendships but we all are so thankful to God for bringing us together and are just trying to make the most of the time we have!

Big things ahead :)

Hey guys - just a quick blog this time!

I'm excited to let you all know that I'll be heading to Cambodia in late April for six weeks. It's super exciting and as we're still nutting out all the details there's not much more I can tell you.
Please be praying for us as we start to bond as a team and work on how we will be able to outreach effectively overseas.

The last week has been really big! We were really challenged as we focussed on "Clear conscience" and were given the opportunity to think for ourselves and not give regurgitated answers! As we head into a new week, I'm loving exploring "The nature and character of God". I love getting to know Him more and really getting some good foundations down. Still ready for heaps more to come! :)

Thanks heaps for loving me in all your different ways! I think and pray for you often! xo
